The Three Forts Marathon, first run in 1977, is sometimes referred to as 'The Tough One'. It is a tough race with one more mile than the standard marathon distance with an overall climb of 3,450 foot. There is also a half marathon option.

Three Forts Marathon Route
The 'The Tough One' is a hilly, rugged race starting and finishing at Lancing Manor Park, taking runners on a scenic route via the scenic South Downs.
