The Steyning Stinger Marathon is a multi-terrain marathon. It was first run in 2002 and takes place on the first Sunday of March each year.

Steyning Stinger Marathon Route
The route takes place on the South Downs between Worthing and Shoreham-by-Sea. The route covers countryside and roads, including four hills (or 'stings') up towards the top of the Downs.

There are several drink stations en route, one approximately every three miles.
