The South Devon Coastal Marathon was the original Endurancelife coastal trail event. It is now the most popular of all the coastal races.

To help protect the south Devon coast application for the South Devon Coastal Marathon is restricted to a limited number of runners. Applicants are advised to apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

The course is tough. While picturesque, it is equally punishing, following a coastline which is both rugged and stunningly beautiful. As a trail running course this race may be described "as as good as it gets".
