The Rotary Shakespeare Marathon is a 2-lap, undulating race starting and finishing in Stratford-upon-Avon and traversing the surrounding countryside. Crowds have been reported to be subdued in their support, but others also suggest that the race is well organised and a hit with runners.

Shakespeare Marathon Route
Runners line up in Church Street close to the junction with Scholars Lane. The pass out of the town and into the surrounding countryside. The course is predominantly flat, consisting of running on roads and bound grit. When the runners have completed the required two laps they will finish back in the town, at the recreation ground.
