Purbeck Marathon

The first Purbeck Marathon was run in 2012. It received much praise, being rated the 3rd best UK marathon by Runner's World in its inaugural year.



Purbeck Marathon Route
The route is a single lap incorporating the Jurassic coastline and surrounding Dorset countryside.

The race starts at Peveril Point and finishes in Swanage. Runners follow a hilly, one lap course that incorporates the spectacular Jurassic Coast and the South West Coast Path, both of which that show off the stunning local scenery. The route also passes through many local landmarks, including deserted village Tyneham. the Purbeck Hills and the 11th century Corfe Castle before eventually returning to Swanage.
