The Magna Carta Marathon is run in Runnymede, near the site where the treaty of Magna Carta was signed. There is also a Magna Carta Half Marathon.

Magna Carta Marathon Route
Run along the south bank of the River Thames, the race starts and finishes next to the Runnymede Pleasure Ground. Runners follow the Thames Path along the out-and-back course, passing Staines Bridge, Winsor Lock and Wraysbury Skiff & Boating Club.
