The Kielder Marathon is named after Europe's largest man-made lake, Kielder Water, in Northumberland, around which the race takes place. There is also a Kielder Half Marathon. Both races are expected to sell out.

Kielder Marathon Route
The course is almost entirely off-road, around Kielder Water. Runners start and finish at Leaplish Waterside Park.
