The Jurassic Coast Challenge takes place in Dorset. It is a brutal, but beautiful race, taking runners along coastal paths from Lyme Regis to Poole.
Jurassic Coast Challenge Route
The Challenge is split across the 3 days, each involving a tough and hilly, but extremely scenic marathon.
Day one starts with a steep climb up Golden Cap, then levels out for a pleasant stroll along Chesil Bank
Day two takes runners through the lovely seaside resort of Weymouth incorporating Osmington Mills, Ringstead Bay,
Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Tyneham village before finishing at Kimmeridge Bay.
Day three is arguably the toughest and easily the wildest, going past Chapmans Pool, St Aldhelms Head and Dancing Ledge, before finishing at Shell Bay, Studland.
