The Great Langdale Marathon, as well as the Half Marathon, has a reputation as being one of the toughest road races in the UK.

Great Langdale Marathon Route
The beautiful Langdale valleys plays host to the Great Langdale Marathon. It has the reputation as being amongst the arduous road events in the UK. It is a very hilly course with some parts of the course climbing 1:3 gradients, make it a highly challenging race.

The route starts from Great Langdale following an anti-clockwise direction via Little Langdale and through the picturesque hamlets of Skelwith bridge, Chapel Style and Dungeon Ghyll.
