The Cheltenham Challenge Marathon has been discontinued. However, other events - half marathon, 10K and
5K - are still taking place.
Because of COVID-19, the 2021 races are virtual, being run at a location of your choice over 22 - 23 May.
Cheltenham Challenge Half Marathon Route
The course is a hilly, multi-terrain loop taking runners through town and countryside. Some consider it to be the most scenic marathon in the UK.
The race starts and finishes at Cheltenham Racecourse. From there the route goes over Charlton Common from where runners
have amazing views of Cheltenham. It then heads over Leckhampton Hill, down to the Severn Vale, through Badgeworth, taking runners
across the M5, through the local airport and past some small villages before arriving back at the racecourse.
