First run in 2012, the Mandela Day Marathon honours the life of South African National Father, President Nelson Mandela.

Mandela Day Marathon Route
Runners start from Arya Samaj Hall (Manayi Hall) in Imbali, where Nelson Mandela made his last public speech as a free man on 25 March 1961 at the All-in-Africa conference. The race finishes outside Howick, at the site of Nelson Mandela's arrest on 5 August 1962.
