The Khmer Empire Marathon is a popular annual event, originally established to help promote the Siem Reap province. There is also a half marathon and a 10K race.

Khmer Empire Marathon Route
Runners follow a course around the Angkor Wat temple complex. Starting and finishing next to the Angkor Wat Ruins they will pass many historically significant sites along a picturesque route.
