First run in 2007, the Kathmandu Marathon is used to promote running in Nepal and bring economic benefits to the city.

Kathmandu Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at the Dasarath Stadium, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, runners follow a one lap course around the city of Kathmandu.

Kathmandu Marathon Entry
* Nepal Runners : 800 NPR (until 10 Jun), 1200 NPR (until 20 Sep), 2500 NPR (until 27 Sep)
* Other Runners : $80 (until 10 Jun), $100 (until 20 Sep), $120 (until 27 Sep)
* Registration Deadline : 29 August
