First run in 2007, the Kathmandu Marathon is used to promote running in Nepal and bring economic benefits to the city.

Kathmandu Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at the Dasarath Stadium, Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, runners follow a one lap course around the city of Kathmandu.

Kathmandu Marathon Entry
* Nepal Runners : Rs. 1000 (15 - 16 Jun), Rs. 1500 (until 31 Aug), Rs. 2500 (until 7 Sep)
* International Runners : $100 (until 31 Aug), $120 (until 7 Sep)
* SAARC / EXPAT : $30
* Registration Deadline : 7 September
