The Calgary Marathon was first run in 1963 making it Canada's longest running marathon. Race day events also include half marathon, 10K and 5K races.

Calgary Marathon Route
Runners follow a fairly flat course through the city and have a good chance of of achieving an impressive race time. The race starts and finishes near the Stampede Grandstand. Along the way runners pass various highlights including the center of Ingelwood, Bridgeland, the old Centre St bridge and Memorial Drive.
