The Amman Marathon is organised by RunJordan and was first run in 2009. There is also an Amman Half Marathon, and a 10K race.

Amman Marathon Route
The race starts from the Hashemite Arena and finishes at the Hashemite Plaza. Runners will pass various significant local buildings and monuements, including the Al Husseini Mosque.
