The Ascona-Locarno Marathon was an enjoyable, scenic race. Unfortunately, it no longer takes place. There is however a half marathon, 10K and 5K race.

Ascona-Locarno Half Marathon Route
The race is flat and starts and finishes at the Piazza Grande in Locarno. Runners follow a route through and between the towns of Locarno and Ascona, passing many of the nearby attractions such as the Castle Visconti, the Lido, the lakefront and the Fontana Pedrazzini.
