The Siberian International Marathon takes place every year in early August during the week of St. Ilya's Day, the patron saint of Omsk. It was first held in Omsk in 1990 and is part of the City Days celebrations.

Siberian International Marathon Route
The AIMS-certified course makes two loops on mainly flat, paved, traffic-free streets. The race starts and finishes at Central Square in the centre of Omsk. The race runs along the central streets and embankments of the Irtysh River.

Prospectve runners should take note that, although it is Siberia, temperatures can reach up to 30-40oC at this time of year.
