The Oslo Marathon is one of four races run during this running weekend. The other races are the Oslo Half Marathon, 10K and 3K.

Oslo Marathon Route
Passing along the seafront and past beautiful sights such as the Akershus Fortress makes the Oslo Marathon a very scenic race. It also very flat, offering the chance to achieve a PB.

The race starts and finish at the Akershus Fortress at Festningsplassen. The route passes Kirkegata, Kongensgate and Vippetangen, by Skippergata, passing by the New Opera House, along Havneveien then on to Sjursoya, before runners have to turn at the WAG building.

The route then heads back. Runners go via the Opera house, Karl Johan gate, eventually on to the seaside of Radhusplassen (City Town Hall). From there, they run along the pavement/cycle path leading to Framnesgate, Drammensveien and on to Skoyen Train station and the footpath along the river Hoff.

Returning along the cycle path the race leads under Bygdoy, along to Frognerkilen, past the Color Line ferries in Hjortnaeskaia eventually arriving at the seaside. Finally, passing opposite the DFDS Seaways terminal runners reach the entrance of Akershus Fortress and the finish line.
