The Bank of Cyprus Nicosia Marathon, the official marathon of the city, is part of a running event inviting over 7,000 runners to take part. Other races in the same event include a half marathon, 10K race, 5K race and a 1K race for children.

Nicosia Marathon Route
Starting and finishing at Eleftheria Square, runners follow a flat course around the city, passing many of the local landmarks, including the Liberty Monument, Famagusta Gate and the streets of the Old Town.
