The Moscow International Peace Marathon is quite a low key event with similarly sparse spectator support. However, it is a great way to see the many sights around the Russian capital.

Moscow Marathon Route
Runners have a perfect opportunity to achieve a personal best in what is a very flat and fast course. It is also one of the world'd most picturesque marathon routes, steeped with Russian history and tradition.

The Moscow International Peace Marathon starts at the Red Square in front of St.Basil's Cathedral - considered, by many, as one of the most beautiful and famous shrines in the world - St.Basil's Cathedral. The race then proceeds to circle aroound the ciity taking in many great sites.

Runners follow a route along the Moscow River alongside beautiful and historic parts of the city next to the walls of the Moscow Kremlin, past the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Gorky Park, the Peter the Great Monument, and many other spectacular landmarks, palaces and ancient Orthodox churches with golden cupolas. The finish is close to Red Square, in front of the Russia Hotel near to the Start line in full site of the magnificent St.Basil's Cathedral.
