The Route
Moscow International Peace Marathon starts at the Red Square in front of St.Basil's Cathedral - considered, by many, as one of the most beautiful and
famous shrines in the world - St.Basil's Cathedral. The course is flat as a pancake and therefore extremely fast. It is probably one of the world'd most
picturesque marathon routes, steeped with Russian history and tradition.
Runners follow a route along the Moscow River alongside beautiful and historic parts of the city next to the walls of the Moscow Kremlin, past the Cathedral of
Christ the Savior, Gorky Park, the Peter the Great Monument, and many other spectacular landmarks, palaces and ancient Orthodox churches with golden cupolas.
The finish is close to Red Square, in front of the Russia Hotel near to the Start line in full site of the magnificent St.Basil's Cathedral.
