The Madrid Marathon is considered, by many, to be the primary athletics event for the country, and recieves much attention.

Madrid Marathon Route
With challenging hills the Madrid Marathon is a tough race for some. However it is receives many positives reviews.

Commonly the route is redrawn every year. However if the next Madrid Marathon is anything like the previous events it will take in many of the fantastic sites of Madrid. Marathon runners can expect the route to take them past the the city, the old town and Madrid's residential areas, passing famous landmarks on the way, such as Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Palacio Real. Runners should expect to reach the finish line in Madrid's Retiro Park.

* Entry Fee: 45 Euro (until 31 March), 85 Euro (until 13 April)
* Registration Deadline : 13 April
* Charity Places : Runners are advised to contact their chosen charity
* Cut-off Time : Runners will be expected to finish within 6:00 hours.
