The Ljubljana Marathon is organised by the Ljubljana City Council. It was first run in 1996.

Ljubljana Marathon Route
The race starts and finishes in the centre of Ljubljana at Subieeva ul in front of the Parliament building. The route follows a circular course, running around the Mostec hill and taking in some of the best sites of this easy-going city.

For those not wanting to run the full marathon, runners can attempt the 21km (13 miles) half marathon or the 7km (4.3 miles) fun run.
