The Budapest Marathon is enjoyed by thousands of runners including relay teams of 2 or 4, many of whom come from abroad. Great crowd support can be expected, creating an amazing atmosphere.

Budapest Marathon Route
The race starts and finishes in front of the Eotvos Lorand University. Runners follow a 2 lap course up and down the banks of the Danube, initially heading north towards the popular Chain Bridge, passing the Statue of Liberty on the way.

The route continues along the side of the river, crossing the Danube a total of 5 times. En route, athletes will see many of the city's significant sites including the impressive Fisherman's Bastion and Heroe's Square, before returning to cheering crowds at the start / finish area.
