Seaford Marathon

SEAFORD MARATHON 2012 IS CANCELLED

Start Time : NA
Number of Places : NA

In 2011, after a one year break, the Seaford Marathon was back for its third running. It's taking another year out and there will be no Seaford Marathon in 2012.

Seaford Marathon Route
Most of the race is run on gravel tracks and well-drained chalk paths. Runners start on Cradle Hill Road outside Seaford Fire Station. They then make their way via fields, a golf course and coutry tracks to Bo Peep from where they follow descending paths, tracks and a road into Alfriston. The route then loops between Alfriston and Littlington on either side of the Cuckmere River and heads from Alfriston through quiet country roads and tracks and paths towards Firle Bostal Road. Runners then head across fields via tracks before climbing Beddingham Hill.

From Beddingham Hill the route becomes hilly until reaching Bo Peep. From there the final quarter of the race directs everyone towards Norton and Bishopstone across local fields, tracks, paths and quiet country roads before heading back across the golf course and into Seaford, to the finish line back where the race started, outside of Seaford Fire Station.
