The EMF Half Marathon (Edinburgh Marathon Festival Half Marathon), orginally known as the Scottish Half Marathon, had its inaugural race in 2010 and was a huge success.

EMF Half Marathon Route
Similar to the Edinburgh Marathon, the Edinburgh EMF Half Marathon starts in the city centre and finishes with a grandstand finish in Musselburgh Racecourse. Along the way it will follow much of the route followed by the full marathon. The Scottish Half will start earlier than the marathon, to make sure there is no clash with the 26 mile race.

* Charity Places : Many charities offer places in the Edinburgh Half Marathon. Official charities for the race are Alzheimer Scotland, Breast Cancer Care, Macmillan Cancer Support and Help the Hospices.
