The Big D Texas Marathon is described by some as "most beautiful marathon courses". Other races are a half marathon and a 5K race.

Texas Marathon Route
The race starts and finishes at the historic grounds of the State Fair of Texas. The fairground's stunning landscape and art deco architecture will set the mood of the day. After leaving the State fairgrounds runners head north and soon reach the impressive neighbourhoods that surround White Rock Lake - often described as the crown jewel of central Dallas.

The race then leaves White Rock. The route heads into a part of the course with treelined parks to one side and gorgeous homes on the other. Continuing through the final stages of the race runners will in the last six miles, see some truely amazing homes. The journey along Swiss Avenue is considered the best! And as runners head to the finish line they run through Deep Ellum, the eclectic nightclub district returning to the finish line on the front steps of the historic Cotton Bowl.

* All entrants: $70 (before 16 Jan), $80 (before 6 Apr), $90 (up to Race Weekend)
* Charity Places : The Texas Marathon's chosen charities are Diabetes Research Institute, Melanoma Support and Education Foundation and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
