The Portland Marathon is one of a number of events taking place, other events including a Marathon Walk, 5 Mile Nordic Walk, 10k Mayor's Walk.

The Portland Marathon takes runners through the historic old town of Portland, residential neighbourhoods, along the riverfront and across St. Johns Bridge, considered by some as one of the world's most beautiful suspension bridges.
